Our Story
Sylvan Trace was born from a simple dream: to create a retreat where the quiet whisper of the pines meets the comfort of a well-tended home. Founded by one lady and her furry companion, we set out to prove that glamping doesn't have to mean giving up life's little luxuries—especially when it comes to our four-legged family members. Every hot tub and refined cabin detail is a reflection of our commitment to slow living and pet-friendly hospitality.
In the Beginning
The vision for Sylvan Trace didn't come from a boardroom, but from years of humble campfire smoke all around the world. Our founder spent countless weekends in a tent, finding peace in the rhythmic sounds of nature, discovering that the most profound moments of life often happen when we slow down and simply listen to the pines.
As an animal lover trying to travel with pets, it was clear: there is a need for space that offers the rugged beauty of camping without sacrificing the restorative warmth of a private hot tub or the dignity of our pets. Sylvan Trace was born from that desire to merge grounded stewardship with refined glamping, creating a pet-friendly retreat where everyone is truly welcome.

Milestones & Growth
The Idea (2023)
When I inherited this beautiful acreage from my mother, I knew it deserved a special purpose. Having been a devoted camper since my first camping trip, I’ve long noticed a gap in high-quality cabin offerings. This inspired me to design my dream destination, pulling together the best features and heartfelt memories from every outdoor adventure I’ve had.
We scoured the internet to find unique ideas to design our flagship cabin, ensuring the build would respect the trees and provide guests with elegant, minimal-impact luxury, while also offering storm safety since we are so close to the Gulf Coast. This is how we decided on Arched Cabins.

CLEARING THE LAND (2023-2026)
Originally, we planned to do all the clearing ourselves, but soon discovered that was not practical. It was an interesting discovery though!

October 2025 - That wall of brush disappeared once the track hoe arrived!
Breaking Ground (2026)
Construction officially began. We celebrated the installation of water wells and a sewer system. Now we just have to install the electric lines to run them.
First Cabin Build (Summer 2026)
Our flagship cabin will be under construction soon. We are hand-picking every fixture to ensure your future stay is as comfortable as it is rustic.
Late 2026: Opening Day
The date we look forward to most—when we welcome our very first guests and their four-legged friends to Sylvan Trace.
